Fadlullah: What the Palestinians are facing is more serious that what they had faced when Palestine was usurped; we need a political and media and jihadist plan
His Eminence, the Religious Authority, Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, affirmed that the challenges facing the Palestinians at this stage are much more dangerous than all what they have been facing since the usurpation of Palestine. He noted that the international axes are focusing on appointing a date for a mass ceremony to escort the Palestinian cause to its final rest. He pointed to an American and Israeli security coordination to make security changes inside the West Bank, and apply new pressures to pursue the Palestinians. He also called for activating the resistance inside occupied Palestine and stage a political media campaign to remind the people with the Palestinian cause.
The Sayyed received a delegation from the Hamas Movement, including Hamas's political representative in Lebanon, Ali Baraka, official in charge of the Lebanese relations, Ra'afat Morra, and member of the politburo, Abu al-Abed Mash'hoor. The delegation congratulated Sayyed Fadlullah on the occasion of the Ramadan month, and offered its condolences for the death of his cousin Sayyed Abed Al-Aziz al-Hakim, the Head of the Iraqi Supreme Islamic Council. During the meeting, the Palestinian situation inside Palestine, the ongoing blockade on Gaza, the future of the Palestinian domestic dialogue, and the challenges facing the Palestinian cause at various levels were discussed.
His Eminence, Sayyed Fadlullah, affirmed that the challenges facing the Palestinians at this stage are far more serious than anything they have been facing since the usurpation of Palestine. He noted that the international axes are securing the attendance of the largest number of Arab and Islamic states in a mass ceremony to escort the Palestinian cause to its final rest.
The Sayyed noticed that the recent developments that accompanied the Fatah Conference were aimed at penetrating the internal Palestinian front, through which international mediators would penetrate to push the Palestinians to acknowledge that negotiations are the only means to solve the conflict. They also want to convince the Arabs to join this track from the gate of normalization, which will be a starting point to put as many pressures as possible on the Palestinian negotiator in the coming days.
He added that the United States coordinated with the Israeli enemy in order to push for serious changes inside the West Bank, through which the Palestinian security forces fulfill the desires of the enemy and protect its security at the expense of all the Palestinian security. They wanted the Palestinian security movement to fulfill the goals drawn by the United States in the region, which further complicated the Palestinian relations and made the inter-Palestinian dialogue dependent on the conditions determined by Israel at the security and political levels.
His Eminence, the Sayyed, affirmed that it is the responsibility of the Palestinian factions to work in two directions: To activate the resistance inside Palestine through an in-depth study that takes the field and political facts into account, and to entrench the Palestinian cause in the Arab and Islamic street, as the plan was to keep this street busy with its affairs and overlook the Palestinian cause.
The Sayyed also called for staging a political media campaign in which all Arab and Islamic movements partake, in order to remind of the threats engulfing the Palestinian cause and support Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian people inside Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 and the West Bank, which is close to becoming an internal prison for the Palestinians, thanks to the enemy's measures and settlements that creep from all directions.
He also stressed on the need to protect the civil and humanitarian rights of the Palestinians in Lebanon, noting that this does not contradict with our decisive position to reject naturalization. All sides in Lebanon, in coordination with the Palestinians, should work to reach a kind of understanding on how to preserve the civil rights of the Palestinians in the camps and outside them. Efforts should be extended on the popular and official levels to reject naturalization and all projects aiming at restricting the movement of the Palestinians and placing them between the following two choices: Either to be naturalized or to be deported from their territory and Jerusalem.
His Eminence had previously called the Head of the Hamas politburo, Khaled Mash'al, and offered his condolences for the death of his father.
