Fadlullah received Wahhab and telephoned the Egyptian ambassador:
We should find unifying political solutions between the Lebanese

His Eminence, the Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah, received former Prime Minister Wi'am Wahhab, and assessed the situation in the region following the recent developments that took place after the US and Israeli elections, and their potential repercussion on Lebanon in particular.

Sayyed Fadlullah said that the Lebanese people should make extra efforts to find unifying political solutions to reinforce their political situation and boost their political and economic stability. The Sayyed also urged the Lebanese to positively address any regional dossier that would promote intra-Arab cooperation, and develop new relations for further Arab-Arab rapprochement, in order to preserve the Lebanese domestic situation and reinforce intra-Lebanese accord before the elections.

After the meeting, Wahhab said: At any crossroad in Lebanon and the region, we visit Sayyed Fadlullah to be enlightened by his opinions, especially his farsighted visions of the issues in Lebanon and the region.

His Eminence, Sayyed Fadlullah, telephoned Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ahmad Al-Badiwi, condemning the recent blast in Cairo. He said that that this explosion whether targeting tourists of people's security is a crime denounced by religion and law, regardless of its perpetrator. The security of Egypt and the Egyptian people must be respected.
