We also call on the religious scholars, as well as the political activists and the intellectuals in the Arab and Muslim World to make every effort to face this concentrated political and cultural attacks, for although they have used all the weapons of deceit and lying while we have refrained from using the weapons of truth in facing them.

Asked in his weekly seminar the following question :The World is witnessing growing campaigns against Islam and Muslims, with any criticism the historical practices of Jews considered as anti-Semitic. How do we confront such campaigns?

The Religious Authority Sayyed Muhammad Hussein Fadlullah said:

The international escalating campaign against the Arabs surpasses the cultural sphere into the political realm, with the offensive targeting the Arab and Muslim political issues and causes.

That is why we can say that we are faced by a political attack that targets the ideological and cultural identity of Islam, benefiting from the decision of some Muslims to resort to violence even if it were in self-defense to accuse all Arabs and Muslims of terrorism. This campaign has even reached the level of threatening anyone who dares to tell the truth regarding the historical myths the Jews have made, or regarding their daily practices in occupied Palestine.

On the other hand, the Arabs and Muslims have failed to use the Anti-Semitic slogan. They have failed ,at least the Arabs, to remind the world that they are Semites, while the Jews are of various ethnicities, and that Israel practices the most aggressive form of anti- Semitism as it continues its aggressions against the Arabs.

The Problem does not only lie in the growing dominance of Zionism over the Western media; It also lies in the Arab and the Muslim impotence that is almost intended in most cases, to use the various weapons the possess. Why do we have all these Arabic satellite news channels while we don’t have any English or French ones? Are not we supposed to be concerned with the international public opinion, or should we convince only those who are convinced in the fist place?

Our problem is that we have been defeated or chose not to face the Western media and the political campaign that is directed by the Zionists and the arrogant, although it has ceased to be a seasonal one and began to threaten our future and fate. In America, there is an organized and on-going campaign in which certain priests who have been influenced by the Zionist propaganda, or certain generals take part.

Most recently one of those generals tried to suggest that the Muslims hate the Christians because they are of Jewish origins. We all know that is not true for the Muslims have historically protected the Christians and Jews in their vast Islamic entity. Moreover, the Muslims scholars and leaders call not only calling for a Christian -Islamic dialogue but also for a joint international cooperation in the face of arrogance and unbelief.

We, as Muslims and Arabs, are victims of a Satanic campaign that seeks to exploit the religious dimension to plant hatred among the adherents of different religions to serves international Zionism...
