His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, delivered the two Friday prayer sermons at the Imamain Al-Hassanain Mosque, Ramadan, 12th 1437 H. – June, 17th 2016. Several prominent religious scholars, dignitaries and thousands of believers attended the Jumu’a prayer.
In the first sermon, His Eminence, Sayyed Ali Fadlullah, explained that in addition to those who undergo accountability in the Hereafter and then are sent either to Heaven or to Hell, there are those who go straight to Heaven. Those are the people of patience, favors and good deeds.
In the second sermon, the Sayyed commented on the recent bombing that took place in Beirut. He called on the Lebanese to be vigilant and not to over-worry, since Lebanon’s stability is still agreed upon by the major super powers.
He also called for stopping all the public debates concerning the American treasury sanctions on the Lebanese banks, and he called for an objective dialogue that would protect them from the American sanctions and at the same time preserve the rights of the Lebanese from the haste and unjust measures taken by some banks.
He also called on the Lebanese leaders to work hard to find solutions, adding that they are able to do so it they just stop thinking about their own interests and concentrate on those of the country.
The Sayyed condemned the recent terrorist attacks in France and USA and called for not exploiting them in what hurts Islam and the Muslim communities in these countries.
He also commented on the recent measures taken against Al-Wifaq Society in Bahrain, considering them a dangerous escalation that undermines any chance for dialogue to reach civil peace and accord in the countries.
