The Holy Quran
The Holy Quran
The duality of the apparentand the hidden in the Quran
Linguists have been discussing the issue of words with multiple layers of meaning. They have come up with two theories. The first theory proposes that words are not endowed with more than one meaning, while the second theory indicates that words might mean one thing, but they mean something else at the same time.

The Arabic language of the Holy Quran
The Holy Quran asserts its Arabic language through the following verses: "Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran that you might understand," (12:02), "A Book of which the verses are made plain, an Arabic Quran for a people who know," (41:03), "It is a Quran in Arabic, without any crookedness (therein): in order that they may guard against Evil," (39:28), "The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, upon your heart that you may be of the warners, in plain Arabic language." (26:193-195).

Justice to disbelievers from a Quranic perspective
Amongst the Quranic verses on justice is a verse that talks about how to deal with peaceful disbelievers, for disbelievers are of two kinds: those who are in a state of war with Muslims, displacing them and offending them with various aggressive means, and those who are peaceful but differ with the Muslims on the religious/conviction level, for they simply do not believe in Islam, yet they coexist with Muslims just as various groups coexist together in a pluralistic society.

The Quran calls on the weak and oppressed to gain strength
The Quran thus reinforces people’s inner strength using several methods that mainly involve ridding man of the feeling of weakness that leads him to deviate from the path of God. Firstly by exposing the false idols that the oppressed had been worshipping besides God or to which they submit or surrender in weakness. Moreover the Quran tries to describe all aspects of strength and its ability to cause harm or do well including its control over living and even life and death etc. Because the source of all strength and possessor of the power of existence is God and to Him all people will return. This is clearly shown in the following verses:

The matrimonial relationship in the Quranic view
Among the moral titles pertaining to the marital relationship is Allah’s saying: "And treat them kindly," i.e. you ought not to complicate matters and contrive to dissolve the marriage, but rather maintain a rational way of thinking.

The “blessings” in the Quranic conception
In the Holy verses, the term “blessed” occurs [several times] to describe the Quran. Much controversy arose on the nature of such blessing; is it concrete and subjected to the rule of cause and effect in the sense of leading to prosperity and materialistic and practical benefit, as came in the interpretation of the following Ayah: “And He hath made me blessed,” (19:31); i.e. a benefit to the people, or is it moralistic and spiritual in a way that it opens up to man’s spiritual aspect through the abundant graces and blessings of kindness and mercy Allah bestows upon man, as mentioned in the Ayah which entails the conversation between Ibrahim and the angels: “the grace of Allah and His blessings on you”?!

The Quran: A Divine Message to mankind
Allah says in His Glorious Book: “Here is a Message for mankind;” a Message Allah has revealed to His Prophet to draw a line between the right and falsehood, and between good and evil: “Let them take warning therefrom,” so as to think responsibly, realistically and objectively, for the Quran entails a methodology for thinking and a method for dialogue and disallows turning any disagreement into a personal complex; but rather, it regards it as a basis for intellectual “give and take” that is founded on strong evidence and clear proofs…

Experience in the Quran inspired from Cain and Abel’s story
Allah says in His Glorious Book: “Then Allah sent a crow digging up the earth” hollowing the earth out as if searching for something, “so that he might show him how he should cover his brother’s dead body,” (05: 31), signifying the ugly state of his brother after his death, who would become a fetid corpse or food to predators, which he would hate for him. Apparently, this Ayah clarifies that Cain (Qabil) was naïve and inexperienced as he had no on-the-ground experience

A Quranic perspective on the creation of man
Allah has mentioned in His Holly Quran: “These are they whom Allah guided, therefore follow their guidance. Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; it is nothing but a reminder to the nations.” (6:90). The aforementioned verse addresses the Messenger of Allah (p) to follow the footsteps of previous Messengers (p)since all Messengers (p) function withincertain guidelines that dictates their apostolic mission;
